Formally known as Dev Wulf & The Midnight Howl, The Midnight Howl is an alt-americana rock band from Dallas, Texas. Formed in 2022, Dev Wulf (Texicana), Matthew Vasquez (J. Isaiah Evans & the Boss Tweed), and Andrew Supulski carry a mix of influences learned from southern rock, St. Louis blues, southern gospel, and psychedelia. Dallas Observer describes their sound “like something that's been pulled from the past and tastefully revamped to the modern age.” Fronted by singer-songwriter, Dev Wulf, the band’s lyrical focus reflects on learned experiences, broadened perspectives, and uplifting choruses. Their new single “Guiding Light” is a song that draws inspiration from gospel music that sets the stage as a vehicle to deliver a simple message of holding onto hope within the human experience. “It stands as a reminder to always hold onto hope in times where the dark days seem to overcast the brighter ones; To remind each other that we don’t have to walk alone; and though tomorrow is never promised, we can still predict the sun will shine on us again. When we begin to live that within ourselves, the darkness won’t stand a chance.” (Dev Wulf, KXT.org) The Midnight Howl is set to release new music in 2025.
