Blind Eyed is a line of uniquely ice-dyed upcycled and new (couture-ish) clothing and artwork. Due to a rare genetic eye disease, Stargardt’s Disease, I am legally blind and have lost much of my central vision. Since ice dying doesn’t require fine detail, it is more forgiving than other artistic expressions. What began as a “fun family activity” has become my passion and it is continuously evolving. I’ve recently expanded my collection to include ice-dyed canvas (for display). My overall goal, with everything I make, is to create one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the boundaries of rebellion and “sophistication”.
