Painting
Bedford, Texas
Born and raised in Cologne, Germany, now living in Bedford, TX, my artistic journey has been fueled by a childhood filled with creative encouragement from my mother. Her beautiful pencil drawings ignited the spark of imagination within me, setting me on a path to becoming a visual artist myself. My passion for art blossomed when I discovered the mesmerizing allure of pour paintings. Drawn to the fluid lines reminiscent of the ocean's waves, I found my calling in working with acrylic paint and resin on various mediums. In 2022, a transformative class inspired me to explore the boundless possibilities of these materials, leading me to create flowy and colorful masterpieces that captured the infinity of the sea. Self-taught and constantly evolving, my artistic education comes from online tutorials, providing me with the freedom to experiment and refine my unique style. I am embracing the use of resin on some of my paintings, which adds an intriguing three-dimensional aspect that engages viewers in a sensory experience. Nature serves as a profound wellspring of inspiration for me. The beauty of God's creation ignites my imagination, and my artworks often convey the awe-inspiring essence of the ocean. In my journey as an artist, I have also drawn inspiration from fellow Dallas artist Marc Dominus, whose vibrant use of colors resonates deeply with me. My art is about evoking creativity in others as well. I believe that every individual should be free to interpret my art in their own way, allowing my paintings to speak personally to each viewer, no matter the angle from which they are observed.

What does Deep ellum mean to me?

I love Deep Ellum! It is a vibrant and creative neighborhood and I enjoy the eclectic mix of art, music, food and culture every time I participate in the Wine Walk. Deep Ellum is really more than just a neighborhood, it's a lifestyle. I would be honored to be able to share my art in this inspiring part of Dallas.
